Discord is quickly growing to be one of the most popular chatting platforms in existence. Although the app is mainly marketed towards use for gamers, it can be used for many other purposes as well.
Discord servers are created by Discord users themselves and absolutely anyone who has a Discord account can easily set one up. There are many different types of servers that you can find on Discord – from roleplaying servers to video game servers to anime/manga-themed servers, etc.
In this article, we will be discussing everything there is to know about Discord servers, including how to find ones to join, how to set one up, and much more.

Joining a Discord server is easy and can be done by anyone with a Discord account. In order to join a Discord server, first, you must find an invite link. Invite links can be found on a Discord Server list.
Once you have found an invite link for a Discord Server that you want to join, you can join it by simply clicking on it which should launch the Discord app in your browser. Here you can log in to Discord, or if you are already logged in, you will simply automatically join the server.
If this doesn’t work, try clicking the Plus (+) icon which can be found in the bottom left-hand side of the Discord app. After clicking this button you can paste the Discord invite link and it should join the desired server.

To make a Discord Server, click the big “+” button on the left-hand side of the Discord App as seen in the image below. After this, hit “Create a server” and then choose a name for your new server.
The next step is choosing the roles of the members of your discord server. There are three common types of roles: admin, moderator, and member. The admin has full control over the server while moderators have limited power over certain aspects of the server such as banning people or changing settings. Members have no power over anything but can still chat with other members in the same channel as them.
Once this is done, the server is ready to go! You can add more channels and voice channels if you’d like through your servers drop-down menu in the top left. You can read below to learn how to add Discord Emojis to your Discord Server.
